Due to the wet weather it has been a tough spring for crops. The rain has made it difficult for application and planting. It has also affected the river grain terminals for anyone needing to sell grain. Did the weather put you behind? We are here to help with all your crop and grain needs. On 2/2/19 gas was $2.34 and Road B11 Diesel was $2.83 with all taxes. From 2/2/19 to 5/18/19 gas went up 69 cents and diesel went up 20 cents per gallon. Todays price for gas is $2.885 and Road Bll Diesel is $2.831 with all taxes. Gas is still up 54.5 cents and Diesel is back where we started.
LP Gas – Grain Drying- leased $1.01 and if you own your tank $.96 plus taxes. Contract for winter is $1.47 less Volume of 2 cents per thousand and 2 cents off for prepay. In 2018 LP gas was at its low on 6/23/18 of $1.32 and hit its high on 10/20/18 of $1.63 going up 31 cents per gallon. In 2017 LP gas was at its low on 7/17/17 of $1.17 and hit its high on 11/18/17 of $1.71 going up 54 cents per gallon. If you have the option – we would suggest you fill you LP tanks now.
Did you know effective July 1st 2019 the motor fuel tax rate on gasoline will in crease 19 cents to 38 cents per gallon? The motor fuel tax on diesel fuel will also increase from 24 cents to 45.5 cents per gallon. Also, annual vehicle registration fees for cars and class B trucks increase from $50 to $148.
